Global Geophysics Anthology 2019

Sampul buku Bungan Rampai Geofisika Global 2019
The 2019 edition of the Global Geophysics Book consists of nine articles which include the results of research carried out by members of the Global Geophysics Expertise Group (KK GG) and teams, as well as one article which tells about the history of KK GG. Apart from being a documentation of the results of research that has been carried out, this book was also prepared to provide an overview of the scope of research at KK GG.
Furthermore, we hope that this book can become a reference for students in pursuing their studies. The nine articles can be grouped into several fields of study, such as: 1. Earthquake seismology, 2. Seismic hazard, 3. Engineering and environmental geophysics, and 4. Volcanology. The theoretical basis for several studies is described in detail, with the hope of providing the reader with a good understanding of the mathematical and physical basis of a study. Apart from that, the application aspects are given a very adequate place, ranging from regional to very local coverage.
Several articles discuss studies that are relatively new or still in the development stage in the field of geophysics. This book is arranged in the following chapter order: Chapter 1. History of the Global Geophysics Expertise/Scientific Group, Chapter 2. Update of the earthquake relocation catalog in Indonesia, Chapter 3. Seismic hazard analysis on Sumatra Island, Chapter 3. Mapping the dynamic response of land in Palu City , Chapter 4. Seismicity in western Java, Chapter 5. Analysis of stress and stability of underground tunnels, Chapter 6. Seismic active processing at Lake Towuti, Chapter 7. Installation of seismometers around Mount Agung, Bali, Chapter 8. Observation of surface deformation in Palu uses GPS, and Chapter 9. Rock magnetism methods for volcanological studies.
We hope that the aim of preparing this book can be achieved optimally so that it contributes to enriching study reference materials for students studying the field of geophysics in particular, and can further provide study material for all groups who use geophysical methods for other purposes such as in the industrial world, disaster studies. as well as environmental problems in various research institutions. We will always wait for all criticism and suggestions and will use them as evaluation material for future improvements.
